Network Code of Conduct

YAS Work Podcast Network

The YAS Work Network is a collaborative space for creators committed to producing thoughtful, responsible media connected to sex worker communities. These guidelines exist to support a respectful, sustainable environment for creators, guests, and listeners.

Respect for Guests

Creators should prioritize informed consent and respect when inviting guests onto their shows.

  • Guests should understand the nature of the conversation before recording.
  • Guests should be informed if and when an episode will be publicly released.
  • Guests’ boundaries around anonymity, sensitive topics, and personal safety must be respected.

Respect for Fellow Creators

The network functions best when creators support one another.

  • Harassment, bullying, or public targeting of fellow network members or community members is not acceptable.
  • Conflicts should be addressed as soon as possible to communicate and descalate.
  • Collaboration and mutual support are encouraged.

Community Responsibility

YAS Work centers sex worker voices and communities.

Creators should avoid content that:

  • promotes harassment or violence
  • spreads misinformation about sex workers
  • reinforces harmful stereotypes about sex work or marginalized communities

Editorial Independence

Creators maintain editorial control over their shows.

The YAS Work network does not dictate creative direction, viewpoints, or storytelling style. Each show reflects the perspective of its creator.

Network Support and Accountability

In rare situations where concerns arise about content or conduct, the network may reach out to discuss possible solutions.

These may include:

  • requesting clarification or edits
  • pausing promotion of an episode
  • mediation between creators
  • removing a show from the network if necessary

The goal is always to resolve issues collaboratively whenever possible.

Shared Values

YAS Work Network values:

  • creative freedom
  • sex worker leadership
  • ethical storytelling
  • collaboration over competition
  • community care
