Why you should donate to YAS Work...
When you donate to YAS Work, you’re investing in a future where sex workers lead the conversation about their own lives. Your support helps us produce community-led education, panels, and creative projects that challenge stigma, build understanding, and center lived experience as expertise. Every dollar goes toward paying sex workers for their labor, amplifying their voices, and keeping our work accessible to all. See our presentation on this topic HERE.
Take a look at what we've been up to for the year of 2025.
2025 has been a wild and challenging year for everyone — and somehow, it’s also the year YAS Work came to life. From earning our nonprofit status to producing panels, podcasts, and creative projects that center sex workers and our communities, we’ve been busy building something bold from the ground up. As we head into Giving Tuesday, we’re reflecting on what we’ve created, what we’ve learned, and where we’re headed next. Scroll on to see what we’ve been up to — and how you can be part of what’s coming.

For those of you who have donated...
Thank you!
It helps us pay sex workers
to work with us on various projects. We look forward to being able to hire workers part time.
Your support keeps the lights on
as we have monthly bills such as production software and equipment to create educational content.
Funding helps us educate others
as we ideally would pay our experts to teach the public about sex work and workers.

Website
We built the QSWIR website from scratch with guidance and content from the QSWIR team. As an established organization, since 2019, the QSWIR needed a website for professional reasons. You can now learn more about this organization by visiting QSWIR.org.
GoFundMe
Together, YAS Work and QSWIR created their GoFundMe campaign and together continue to track its progress. We reguarly send donations from the campaign, as provided by other donors, directly to the QSWIR. There are many hurdles for sex workers in Kenya, and they need assistance from other orgs to maintain their work, as being any kind of sex worker is illegal in Kenya.
Advising + Media
YAS Work works with the QSWIR and gives consulting where needed. We are also engaging in advising with QSWIR media projects that will be forth coming.
