YAS Veterans is the consulting arm of YAS Work, offering direct access to sex worker experts with cross-industry experience. Our team includes professionals with lived experience in sex work as well as in fields like media, performance, law, education, and organizational development. We provide specialized consulting rooted in real-world expertise, cultural competency, and community accountability.

Who We Serve

We operate on a dual-access model:

  • Free consulting for sex workers seeking guidance, especially those in financially vulnerable situations. Whether it’s navigating workplace issues, developing creative projects, or building professional skills, we support sex workers who need mentorship, advice, or strategic support.

  • Paid consulting services for professionals, institutions, and creators who are producing work about, with, or adjacent to sex workers. This includes:

    • Writers and screenwriters

    • Documentary and narrative filmmakers

    • Music video producers and creative directors

    • Event planners and cultural programmers

    • Brands and influencers utilizing sex worker aesthetics or themes

Our Approach

We already actively consult within the pole dance industry, helping build bridges of solidarity, cultural awareness, and allyship. This includes support for performers, studios, and competitions working to dismantle stigma and center equity.

Proven Track Record

Our team has consulted on high-level media projects, including a paid opportunity with the Writers Guild of America, where we spoke to over 100 writers, directors, and producers shaping Hollywood narratives. We helped them navigate ethical storytelling, representation, and labor accuracy regarding sex work in film and television.
